Runs

23:00 UTC — build v85 · marks by rule, tape rows in the data

Terminal v85: every card × grade mark now follows rule R1 (the median of at least three prints in the 30 days before the newest print, otherwise the last print) and carries rule R2's confidence letter — A (≥3 prints within 30 days, dispersion ≤ 15%), B (two prints, or a print within 90 days), C (a single or older print) — shown next to the mark in the order book, on the set desks and in the WHAT IS BEHIND THIS NUMBER popover; the Method page states R1–R4 with their formulas. Rule R3 was run over every print already on file: prints over 3× or under ⅓ of their grade's reference, or across a neighbouring grade's level, are held UNCONFIRMED (? badge) until a second print within 40% corroborates them. The sales tape's hand-typed rows moved out of the page code into the data (DATA.feed), so the whole desk is now data the pipeline can rebuild.

22:40 UTC — marks (R1 median · R2 confidence)

Marks set from prints by rule R1 on 990 card × grade rows: 393 are the median of ≥3 prints in the 30 days before the newest print, 597 are the last print. Confidence A 271 · B 684 · C 35. 581 mark(s) moved; 271 print(s) held as unconfirmed by rule R3 (over 3× / under ⅓ of the grade's reference, or across a neighbouring grade's mark); 217 unconfirmed print(s) corroborated by a second print.

22:01 UTC — build v84 · tape and wrong copies

James, 7 Sep: the tape still carried a Suicune ★ PSA 9 at $88,888 (filed twice, once as $88,888) whose click went to a PriceCharting price page, a Sabrina’s Gengar print whose price did not match its link, and the live asks board showed a Skyridge Gengar at 0.26× its mark — the non-holo 10/144 copy filed under the H9/H32 holo. Four changes. (1) The sales tape now shows only sales that can be checked at the source: first-hand receipts, Card Ladder ladders, auction-house lots and venue pages; every print that came through PriceCharting by hand (no pipeline receipt) is held off the tape — 160 tonight — until the pipeline re-reads the page and attaches the listing title and eBay item link. (2) One row per eBay item and per card·date·price. (3) Clicking a row opens the eBay item when there is one; PriceCharting’s table is the secondary link. (4) Wrong copies: the buy-now line moves from a quarter to 40% of the grade’s mark, and a title naming another card number is rejected (Skyridge Gengar H9/H32 vs 10/144) — on the desk and in the Worker (rules w6, which re-checks every listing it holds on deploy). No data changed.

21:50 UTC — build v83 · PriceCharting by code

Roadmap Phase C, first piece: PriceCharting’s sold-listing tables are now read by code (pipeline/pc_sales.py, a daily GitHub Action) and applied by pipeline/ingest_pc.py with the same title rules the live feed uses — every PSA row rebuilt from the page for the period it covers, title and eBay item link on every print, one row per sale, BGS/CGC/SGC rows removed, and rule R3: a print over 3× or under a third of its grade’s reference (or across a neighbouring grade’s mark) is held as UNCONFIRMED — shown, counted, never a mark-setter — until a second print corroborates it. This build only adds the desk’s display of those states (UNCONFIRMED badge on the tape, “?” in the order book’s prior prints, read-from-PriceCharting receipt lines); the first rebuilt rows arrive with the next repath run after the v83 drop is deployed. No data changed.

21:33 UTC — build v82 · PSA certs

Roadmap Phase B on the desk. The Worker now checks PSA cert numbers found on sales and live listings against PSA’s public cert API (year, brand, card number, subject, variety, grade, population) within a daily budget; a cert that contradicts its listing — another card, grade, edition or language — removes that listing or sale from the desk, and populations from verified certs flow into the order books. Here: PSA ✓ on verified listings (feed board and listing cards), ✓ on receipt lines whose cert was verified, PSA-sourced pops with their as-of date. Nothing is verified yet — it starts once the v82 Worker drop is deployed with the PSA_TOKEN secret James added tonight. No data changed.

21:12 UTC — build v81 · receipts

Groundwork for first-hand eBay sales (roadmap Phase A). The Worker gains a sales pass that resolves every listing that ends into a verdict — sold, unsold, still live — and keeps a receipt for each sale (item, title, price, end time, seller, cert number, how it was verified); a new /api/sales/live endpoint serves them; pipeline/ingest_sales.py applies them as prints. On the desk: the sales tape shows the receipt line under a sale and a RECEIPT badge; a best-offer sale carries a “≤ LIST · BEST OFFER” badge (rule R4: shown, counted, never a mark-setter); the order book marks receipted prints with ✓. No receipts exist yet — they start once the Worker drop is deployed. No data changed.

20:09 UTC — build v79.2 · mcap strip

The market-cap strip under the nav (TRACKED GEM MCAP · MINT-9 MCAP · the four largest caps · the MCAP formula note) wraps onto a second line on most desktops, and the wrapped line sat under an 18px row gap that read as an empty band between the two rows. Row gap is now 3px so the strip reads as one compact block; the four names are no longer cut mid-word at 22 characters (both Poncho Pikachu promos showed as “PONCHO PIKACHU · M CHA”) — they cut at a word boundary at 30. No data changed. (v79.1 earlier tonight added leader lines to the home chart end-labels — a different fix; this is the gap James flagged.)

20:00 UTC — build v79.1 · chart labels

Home MARKET PERFORMANCE chart: the end-of-line labels are spread apart so they never overlap, which left a label floating away from its line when two indexes end within a point of each other (.PONCHO and .VPI tonight); each label now has a leader back to its line end and a dot on the line, in the series colour. No data changed.

19:49 UTC — asks refresh (8h)

eBay feed unreachable this run (vintagechasetracker.com fetches were permission-blocked in this cloud session), so the run fell back to WebSearch+WebFetch: of 125 asks on file, 84 were confirmed live on fresh pages (incl. DA Card World and Fanatics Collect), 38 returned stale cached snapshots (left in place, prices unchanged; feed cross-check unavailable) and 2 were unreachable (kept); the reported Rayquaza Gold Star PSA 9 $88,888 (itm 158099795744) was removed as gone but its sale could not be documented from the item page (eBay served a pre-sale cached snapshot), so no sale was recorded; 25% rule swept every ask with 0 deletions; ended-listings sweep skipped (feed down).

19:28 UTC — repath

Every card path, set leg and index rebuilt from all 18,267 documented sales on file (184 new since the last rebuild). .AGG 4,180.3 → 4,142.2, .GLDSTR 6,078.8 → 6,078.8.

19:06 UTC — build v79 · verifiable sale links

Every PriceCharting-sourced sale on the tape, the home records and the order books now links to the PriceCharting sales table for that card as its primary source, keeps the eBay item as a secondary ITEM link, and the tape row shows the sold listing's title. Reason: eBay retires a sold item's page and silently redirects its URL to the card's catalogue page — whatever is live now — so a $88,888 Suicune ★ PSA 9 print (PriceCharting, 5 Sep) looked like a $88,888 live listing when clicked. Checked against the source: the Suicune ★, Sabrina's Gengar 1st Ed and JP Jungle Vaporeon PSA 9 prints of 5 Sep are exactly PriceCharting's Grade 9 rows. No data changed.

18:37 UTC — build v78 · tape overhaul

F8 TAPE is now two tabs — SALES TAPE and LIVE ASKS & BIDS — so neither scrolls into the other. The sales tape is grouped by day (grade pill · card · set · source · price) with its own search, category chips and RECORDS / NEW MARKS filters; the live-asks tab adds a stats strip, a cleaner one-row-per-card-and-grade feed board and, on click, listing cards (price, buy-now or auction with ends-in, ÷ last sold, seller · country · shipping, full title, VIEW ON EBAY) under a LAST SOLD / LOWEST LIVE / LIVE NOW header; the desk-verified board becomes OTHER VENUES (Heritage, Fanatics, Goldin, dealers) whenever the eBay feed is live. Mismatches are gone everywhere: an ask under a quarter of its grade's last sale is a wrong copy and is no longer shown on the desk board, in order books, in the card view or in the feed (James checked every flag). Tape prices follow the currency switch; #/tape/asks deep-links the asks tab.

17:39 UTC — build v77 · compact live asks

LIVE ASKS (F8 TAPE) is now a desk rather than a dump: a search bar, grade and buy-now/auction chips and a sort control sit above the eBay feed, which shows one row per card and grade — lowest buy-now, ÷ last sold, listing count, soonest auction — and opens to its listings on click; the desk-verified asks board (all sources) sits underneath and answers to the same search. The feed keeps PSA-graded listings only. No data changed.

15:49 UTC — build v76 · eBay live feed

The terminal can now read a live eBay feed (site only): a LIVE ON EBAY block under every card's order book, EBAY NOW counts on the set boards' booster-box rows, and an EBAY LIVE FEED board under LIVE ASKS. The feed is the official eBay Browse API, pulled by the VCT Worker in small batches (every card re-checked roughly every 3 hours) into the members database; a listing is attached to a card only when its title passes the same checks the terminal applies to hand-found asks — name, set or number, edition, language, no lots or proxies, a readable grade — and the feed cannot tell a sale from a withdrawal, so nothing in it ever sets a mark. One title rule relaxed: a 1st Edition Base Set listing may also say Shadowless. No data changed in this build; the feed itself goes live once the eBay keys are installed on the Worker.

15:08 UTC — build v75 · two-line top bar

The signed-in details join the second line of the top-right block (PSA 10 BASIS · USD · MONTHLY MARKS · USAGE · @username · desk status · ACCOUNT · SIGN OUT), so the block is two lines again. No data changed.

14:50 UTC — build v74 · member line

The signed-in line (@username · desk status · ACCOUNT · SIGN OUT) now sits as one straight line under RESEARCH PULL / PSA 10 BASIS in the top-right block, in the same type; no boxed buttons. MEMBERS appears only for admins and the members page bounces everyone else to home (the API was already admins-only). No data changed.

14:30 UTC — build v73 · members

Membership on vintagechasetracker.com: the site's front door is now a sign-in page (free account: email + password, confirmed by an emailed link); the terminal itself opens only to signed-in members while the public card, set and market pages stay open with a SIGN IN link. Members pick a username, and their desk — watchlist, inventory, alerts, predictions, custom indexes, hidden chart lines, currency and home-page layout — is saved to their account and follows them to any device. New ACCOUNT panel in the top bar: profile, password, MY HOME PAGE (which home sections show, which window the performance chart opens on, default currency, and up to three of your own custom indexes pinned onto MARKET PERFORMANCE as extra lines). Admins get a MEMBERS page (sign-ups, confirmations, last sign-in, activity, disable / enable / resend). Accounts, sessions and desks live in a Cloudflare D1 database on the site; the Claude artifact copy of the terminal is unchanged in behaviour apart from the front-door hint. No price data changed.

14:05 UTC — build v72 · front door restored

The three-column landing layout published at 13:58 (ENTER THE TERMINAL in a right-hand access panel) was withdrawn at James's request; the front door is back to the v71 arrangement with the button under the market copy. Everything from v72 (S&P 500 / Nasdaq-100 / gold benchmark pages and the home performance chart) stays. No data changed.

13:55 UTC — build v72 · external benchmarks

S&P 500, Nasdaq-100 and gold now carry a real monthly history: the close on the last trading day of each month from Oct '22 to date (^GSPC and ^NDX from Yahoo Finance monthly history, captured 7 Sep 2026; GC=F month-ends from goldpricetracker.com checked against the same Yahoo rows; Sep '26 = month to date, last close 4 Sep). Benchmark board: SPX / NDX / XAU show level and 1Y from those closes (1Y = vs the close 12 months earlier, the same rule as every vintage index) and each opens its own page — level, MTD, YTD, 1Y, since Oct '22, max drawdown, 12M vol, log chart with .AGG and the other two benchmarks rebased to it, a VS VINTAGE table (.AGG, .VPI, .GLDSTR, .PONCHO read against the benchmark with spread, correlation and beta), drawdown episodes, rolling 12M correlation, and a source link. Home MARKET PERFORMANCE: the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100 and gold join the four vintage indexes as dashed lines rebased to 100 at the window start; legend chips hide or show any line; the band between .AGG and the S&P 500 is shaded green where vintage is ahead and red where it trails; a lower pane shows .AGG month on month; year markers; the spread .AGG minus each benchmark in percentage points; and a cross-asset strip under the three legs (SPX, NDX, XAU with MTD move and sparkline). The three benchmarks are also available in COMPARE and as members of a Build Your Own Index (SPX, NDX, XAU). Method: S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 are price indexes (no dividends) — like for like with the vintage indexes, which carry no yield. No card price data changed.

12:27 UTC — daily refresh

Daily refresh: 234 new sales across PriceCharting/Card Ladder/boxes, 7 marks moved; Pikawiz pop snapshot taken; community submissions API blocked by robots.txt (kept previous); asks left to the 8-hourly task (verified 119/120 at 03:14 UTC today).

12:12 UTC — build v71 · front door + performance hero

Front door: the .AGG hero moved to a landing page shown once per session (ENTER or the Enter key opens the terminal; member sign-in will live here), set in Questrial at a calmer size, with the terminal's Mewtwo sprite suspended in an animated specimen tube. Home: the page now opens on MARKET PERFORMANCE — .AGG, .VPI, .GLDSTR and .PONCHO rebased to 100 over 1Y / 2Y / ALL with a hover crosshair — beside an .AGG overview (level, 1M/3M/YTD/1Y chips, the three legs with sparklines) and a market monitor: breadth this month across every card, top gainers and decliners (click for the card). Currency: the CCY toggle converts at the latest daily ECB reference rate fetched once a day in the browser (spot strip beside the toggle; the build's rates are the fallback). Fixes: the fair-value desk's USE IT links; Build Your Own Index crashed on the second member and now also accepts any of the 48 benchmark indexes as members (type a ticker or LIST THE INDEXES). No price data changed.

09:35 UTC — asks refresh (8h)

Re-verified 124 of 126 tracked listings via item pages (2 could not be re-fetched this run: Rayquaza ★ PSA 1 ebay 116842486517, Gym Heroes 1st Ed box ebay 376104652470 — left unchanged); all verified listings live, no sales found. Deleted 1 ask whose title now reads "(DMG)(PSA 1 Contender)" (raw copy on a PSA 1 row). 2 price changes, 5 new listings added. eBay search pages not used (blocked); item pages, Fanatics Collect and DA Card World all reachable.

03:14 UTC — asks refresh (8h)

Re-verified 119 of 120 tracked listings (all live, prices unchanged); no sales recorded. Removed 4 asks whose pages now show a different item or a title that no longer names the row's grade (Metagross ★ PSA 2, Shining Charizard 1st Ed PSA 1, Legendary Collection Pikachu RH PSA 9, Poncho Pikachu 231 PSA 8). Added 5 new listings. One Gym Heroes 1st Ed box ask (itm 376104652470) could not be re-fetched (fetch permission blocked) and keeps its 09-06 timestamp; eBay search pages remain blocked, worked around via web search.
