The VCT index API — free, no key, credited
The five Vintage Chase Tracker index levels and their full monthly history, open to anyone. No key, no account, CORS open. Use it in a newsletter, a dashboard, a Discord bot or a spreadsheet — all we ask is a visible credit and a link.
The endpoint
GET https://vintagechasetracker.com/api/indexesReturns every index with its level, one-month, year-to-date, one-year and since-base change. Today .AGG stands at 5,021.7, with 70 monthly closes on file.

Terms, in plain words
Free, including commercially, with a visible credit and a link back to vintagechasetracker.com. The credit line is
in the payload as attribution so you can render it straight from the response. Rate limits are per IP per hour:
120 summary calls or 30 with the series — cache the answer, it changes a few times a day.
Index levels only. Per-card marks, documented sales, PSA populations and live asks are not served here; those are for members and the Dealer API. There is nothing card-level behind this endpoint.
Where the numbers come from
Every level is built from documented PSA sales — an eBay item id, a PSA cert or an auction record — marked by rule, never from an asking price, with stale grade rows excluded after 180 days. The full rules are in the methodology.
